The InnaStar Youth Filmmaking Program is a hands-on after-school and summer lab where young people learn how to turn their ideas into powerful short films.
Over the course of 8–12 weeks, students move through the full production process: story development, scriptwriting, directing, acting, camera work, sound, and basic editing. Under the guidance of professional teaching artists, they learn how to collaborate, problem-solve, and lead on set.
By the end of the program, each cohort has created an original short film from concept to completion—and we celebrate their work with a red-carpet style screening for family, friends, and community partners.
🎞️What students gain
